Welcome to Knowle Green Congregrational Church
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
Knowle Green Church is an Evangelical Independent Church. We value tremendously the vision and heritage of our predecessors who in their humility and obedience to the Lord saw a real need in the community and together sought to do something about it. A number of ordinary folks working in the nearby bobbin mills and farms built a place of Worship. Many over the years have come to a personal knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. 150 years on and we are still enjoying the legacy and the fruit of their labour. The Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ is still being fervently preached and the fellowship is still blessed by God.
In this age of Pluralism, we believe and subscribe to the preaching of the Good News of Jesus Christ and the Cross for Salvation to all men. We believe in His Resurrection and we await His coming again.
Motivation
Our vision is to continue with the work of our predecessors and the foundation they laid. That is to preach Christ Crucified, obedience to the Great Commission matched by personal humility. We seek the work of the Holy Spirit and as Paul says in his letter to the Philippians “To know Christ and the Power of His Resurrection”. Let Jesus be real to all who are able to visit us.

Pastor's Desk
Free time and not knowing what else to do is a luxury. We bemoan tiredness and not having enough time in the day.
Jesus says: - Is there not 12 hours in a day? (John 11:9)
Maybe it's time for a spiritual reflection and surgery.
"Too many Christians create dichotomies in their lifestyles.
While they call upon God to direct and protect them in all other personal affairs, they lock the same God out of their personal affairs. When we do this, we rob ourselves of wisdom and resources of Heaven".
(John Edmund Haggai Freedom and crisis survival, pg. 188)
There never is the right time to knuckle down. We make a choice who we let in or talk to at the door and so it is when we make spiritual decisions. The decisions we make will impact whatever else we have planned for the day. Sometimes, it may mean we need to entirely call off an event, cancel an engagement, end the watching of a TV. programme to spend time with God.
Choices and decisions. no matter how insignificant, demand thoughtful consideration and invariably with each choice there are consequences and outcomes.
"Who knows we have been raised for such a time as this". (Easter 4:14)
You have a lock on the door. Jesus said "I stand at the door and knock it anyone hears my voice and opens the door then I will come in and eat with him." but the handle is on the inside. Some of us have a lock on the door not just the handle.
The things that we do stop us from answering the door of our lives to God.
Have you heard God knocking at the door of your heart ? Thankfully today He is at your door and not you at His. A simple prayer of forgiveness asking
PLEASE COME IN LORD JESUS is the first step. see what God will do in answer to your prayer. He walks, talks and eats with us, He, Jesus will make His home with us. Our challenge is to make sure the door of our heart stays open to the Lord Jesus Christ and His Kingdom.
God gave us all the same amount of time, 24 HOURS each day. What are you doing with yours?
God bless Pastor Chris
